About
Giuseppe Spitali
Giuseppe Spitali is an Italian football agent whose career reflects a lifelong passion for the game, from his early days as a youth prospect to his current role guiding the next generation of talent. Born in 1979, he began at SC Viktoria Köln before joining Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s academy, where he progressed through every age group as a prolific striker. He later featured for MSV Duisburg in the 2. Bundesliga under coaches Pierre Littbarski, Bernard Dietz, and Norbert Meier, and was close to signing for 1. FC Nürnberg before a serious injury altered his path. An offer from Serie B club FC Bari soon followed, underscoring his reputation across borders.
Returning to Leverkusen, Spitali played a central role in the promotion-winning Bayer Amateurs side under Ralf Minge, alongside future Bundesliga mainstays such as Gonzalo Castro, Clemens Fritz, and Tom Starke. He later joined Viktoria Köln, where he contributed both on the pitch and behind the scenes, helping secure promotions and serving in scouting and opposition analysis. In 2014, he was invited back by Lukas Podolski as a player-coach, also taking on responsibilities as squad planner and sporting director — a role that combined leadership, tactical acumen, and management.
For nearly a decade, Spitali has also represented Bayer Leverkusen’s Traditionsmannschaft, celebrating national U40 titles with club legends including Stefan Kießling, Jens Nowotny, and Ulf Kirsten.
Today, as an agent with Kai Football, he brings this wealth of lived experience to his clients, offering not only strategic guidance but the perspective of someone who has felt every dimension of the game. His motto, “Viva il Calcio,” is both his identity and his promise to the players who entrust him with their futures.
